Food Project






Here are pictures of the different groups that were cooking up a storm with the high school students. Various recipes included: seasoned oyster crackers, blueberry smoothies, dirt and worms, Elvis smoothies, and butterfly fruit toast.

Fire Prevention Week






Three Newell and Fonda firefighters visited the school. We learned about staying safe in a fire and how to prevent fires. The kids had a great time riding the fire truck!

October 6th was the 2nd Annual FItness Day at Newell-Fonda. It was a gorgeous day to get out for a one mile walk!

CORN MAZE






The second graders took a field trip to the Allee Farm to participate in a corn maze. We learned some interesting facts about corn. Did you know that there is corn in crayons and chalk? The kids found 11 clues hiding in the maze. Each clue taught us something about corn. It was a great day. Thanks to Lyle Rossiter for letting us participate.

Football Readers


The football readers began visiting us last Friday. We enjoyed hearing Brad read a "Henry and Mudge" book to us. Congrats to the Mustangs on their overtime win!

Building Futures


Second Grade has begun learning new vocabulary words and spelling words. In math we are starting off the year with some basic number concepts. The kids made some neat toolbox photo frames. We will be ready to hang them up tomorrow.
